The use of white in homes is being tackled in the upcoming issue of Homeworks magazine, where designers grapple with the colour's impact, while steering clear of the sterile effect it can create.

Homeworks, distributed free with The Sunday Times tomorrow, will include garden furniture favourites and an inspirational feature on outdoor entertainment and balmy summer days. There are also interviews with different international designers: UK garden furniture designer Debbie Brown Barnett, Canadian product designer Michelle Ivankovic and Italian knob and handle designer Paola Porro.

The white theme prevails through this issue with the garden section, displaying all those potted white flowers in bloom this season.
