I live on top of Saqqajja Bar in Rabat and had complained to Mepa about the colour of this bar. I thank The Times for bringing this case to the attention of the authorities.

One of my green wooden balconies has its bottom part still painted pink. Further to the problem we have with this colour, we have read in The Times that Mepa said the pink colour will fade in time.

May I point out that the fading of outdoor water paint does not happen overnight, especially when the wall is painted bright pink. I live in a 130-year-old house where my neighbour has painted the bottom of half my balcony in pink, the rest of the edifice being of old Maltese stone.
