As a resident and member of the business community of Marsascala, I fully agree with the comments made by Anthony Galea in his letter A Vision For Marsascala.

I would also like to add that lighting up the promenade and an involvement by the Chinese government to build a tourist attraction (monument), as the mayor of Marsascala blissfully announced, cannot in any way boost or lure potential local and foreign tourists and investments to Marsascala.

The formula to revive Marsascala should concentrate on a sports centre, a five-star hotel and above all a yacht marina, which are not just attractions but projects which create work for the locals and neighbouring villages. This will eventually attract more local investment and ultimately foreign investment as well.

The garnish will then be added!
