Last Friday, I had the privilege to attend a concert by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Michael Laus at the Mediterranean Conference Centre .

The repertoire was an excellent choice from Handel’s Music for the Royal Fireworks and from works of other famous composers to more recent compositions. The evening was rounded off by an animated accompaniment of random clapping to the Radetsky March. The audience applauded and some gave a more deserving standing ovation.

I am really looking forward to seeing a full-scale classical ballet or contemporary dance performed by talented local dancers accompanying this prestigious orchestra.
