• Passengers who experience a long delay, cancellation or are denied boarding are legally entitled to compensation and assistance.

• During long delays, passengers must be offered adequate meals and refreshments, the possibility of making two free telephone calls, e-mails and faxes, and in some cases offered free hotel accommodation and transport to and from the hotel.

• When a flight is cancelled, passengers are entitled to monetary compensation, which can vary from €250 to €600, depending on the length of the flight.

• Airlines are not responsible for cancelled or delayed flights due to extraordinary circumstances. However, the right to care and assistance still applies.
