▪ Once a contract of sale is concluded it is legally binding and consumers do not have the right to change their mind and ask for a refund of the money paid.
▪ The right to cancel a sale only applies when goods or services are either bought through a distance means of communication or are concluded at a location that is not the business premises of the trader.
▪ When applicable, consumers must be informed about their cancellation rights.
▪ When a sale is cancelled during the cooling-off period time-frame, consumers are entitled to a full refund and should only be requested to pay the costs connected to the return of the unwanted goods to the seller. Consumers must be informed about this cost before the sale is concluded.
▪ When unwanted items are returned to the seller, consumers must take all the necessary precautions so that the item does not get damaged in transit.
