After a year of wonderful experiences, The PlaKard Project are now releasing their debut album, Jump the Fence

Described by the band as "a story about artistic, environmental, social and personal limits that create fences and challenges", the recording features Angela Vella Zarb on vocals, Mark Harrison on alto saxophone and Warren Galea on keys. Music written by The PlaKard Project, while the album was recorded and produced by David Vella at Temple Studios, Malta.

The band is known for experimenting with a mixture of contemporary jazz, hip hop and experimental music together with other genres that happen to pop out and flow through in a given moment.

For the launch of the album, a number of musicians have been invited to take part in the performance besides the band, including Angela Vella Zarb, Mark Harrison, Mark Kram and some other surprise guests.

Andrew Francica and Manuel Pulis will open for the band in what promises to be a night filled with musical surprises. VX will close the night with some funky groovy sounds and tunes.

Look out for a full interview with the band on The Sunday Times of Malta coming out soon!

Jump the Fence will be launched on April 14 at 8pm at Giovanni Curmi Higher Secondary, Naxxar. Tickets are available from KefaKafe in Naxxar, Ġugar in Valletta, D Gentlemen Salon in Naxxar, and Żeppi's Pub in Gozo.
