Passers-by in eastern China pulled a teenage girl from under a van after she was hit by the vehicle, China's CCTV reported.

Surveillance video shown by state broadcaster CCTV on Sunday showed the 16-year-old being hit while crossing an intersection in Liuan City of Anhui Province at around 6.30am local time (10.30am GMT).

According to CCTV, bystanders managed to pull her out in under a minute.

A doctor at the local hospital where she was treated said she suffered only minor injuries, CCTV said.
