CYPRUS

Andre Schembri played 90 minutes in Apollon Limassol's latest match, as they defeated Ermis 3-0 in the domestic league.

Apollon are currently sitting second on 37 points, four behind leaders APOEL.

ITALY

Malta defender Zach Muscat played full game for Serie C side Pistoiese as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Lucchese.

Pistoiese are 17th in the 20-team league on 17 points, after 19 games.

Martina Borg played in Fortitudo Mozzecane's latest couple of outings, in the Italian Serie B.

First, she featured in the 6-0 defeat against leaders Inter before playing in their
2-0 win over Roma XVIV.

They are currently fourth, with 21 points to show after 11 outings.

The other member of the Malta women's national team Nicole Sciberras was also in action for her Italian club, Grifone Gialloverde in the Italian Serie C.

The defender played in the 7-0 win over Apulia Trani a couple of weeks ago before featuring in their 2-3 win away at Sant'Egidio.

The Rome-based club are fourth with 27 points amassed after 11 fixtures.

ENGLAND

Malta winger Luke Gambin entered the fray in the second half for Crawley Town but he could prevent his side from losing 1-0 against Port Vale on home soil.

The Reds are currently 17th place with 33 points after 29 games. 

Sam Magri played in Ebbsfleet United's big win over National League leaders Leyton Orient.

The Fleet emerged winners 2-0 with Magri playing the whole game in the defensive department. 

They are in eight position, with 47 points after 30 games - one point behind the final playoff spot occupied by Sutton United (seventh, 49 points). 

Kyle Mifsud (no. 8 on the team sheet) played for Burnham FC as two second-half goals from Lucas Sinclair and debutant Bastien Focant sent the Blues through 2-1 away at Kidlington Develoment in the Supplementary Cup.

After being selected by the senior team for their FA Cup tie against Stoke City, Sam Agius returned in action for Shrewsbury's U-16's side as they defeated Preston North End 4-1 in the Youth Alliance League.

Elsewhere, Ryan Debattista played for AFC Hayes in their 2-1 defeat against Horley Town in their league commitment. 

NEW ZEALAND 

Joe Ellul was in the starting XI for Tasman United as they earned a 2-2 draw at home to Team Wellington in the ISPS Handa Premiership.

SPAIN

Miguel Micallef played for Cornella U-17 in their league game against CAN Vidalet, which ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

Micallef's team are currently fifth after 14 games, on 26 points in the Juvenil Primera Divisio - Grup 2.

SCOTLAND

Goalkeeper Beppe Mangion was in Partick Thistle's starting XI as the U-16 side faced giants Celtic, earning a 2-2 draw.

SERBIA

Mattia Veselji is set to continue his career in Serbia with OFK Belgrade.

The 16-year-old underwent a trial at the Serbian club in November and is said to have impressed the Serbian club's coaching staff who offered Veselji a contract.

It is understood that Veselji is joining the Serbian club on loan basis but club vice-president Jason Falzon is giving all the support needed to the player in this new adventure and is hoping that the transfer becomes permanent at the end of the season.

Veselji, despite his young age, has already shown a lot of promise at St Andrews and has also made his Premier League debut with coach Johann Scicluna this season.
