An injured soccer player received what was rightly described as "hilariously bad treatment" as he was carried off on a stretcher during a Greek second division game.

The incident happened on Saturday mid-way through the second half match between Larissa and Ergotelis. One of the stretcher bearers fell as the player Leonardo Koutris was being carried to the touchline.

They eventually got Koutris off the pitch, but offered a final indignity by simply dumping him on the ground, with little obvious concern for his apparent injury.

And just to make things worse for Koutris, his side lost 2-0.
