Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Jamie Vardy, Jesse Lingard, Kyle Walker and Eric Dier join Late Late Show host James Cordon in a hilarious yet doomed attempt at gaining American support for England at the World Cup.

In the video Dele Alli is dressed up as the statue of liberty, Vardy puts on a truly terrible American accent and Walker is made to say "soccer" to appeal to US fans. Needless to say nothing goes as planned in the light hearted sketch that shows us a different side to some of England's top players.

Unlike England the US did not qualify for the World Cup alongside some of the biggest names in football such as Italy and the Netherlands.

England's 2-1 victory over Tunisia is only the third time England has won its opening game in World Cup history and fans, many of which had managed their expectations, are starting to believe in their chances.

Labour MP Emily Thornberry has even gone as far as calling for bank holiday if England reach World Cup final although she might be getting ahead of herself there.
