An elderly woman stole the show in Brighton as she began dancing on the street to the sound of buskers playing music.

Captured on mobile phone footage and posted on Facebook, the woman is seen abandoning her trolley to have some fun on North Street.

Dressed in pink, she is one of the first pedestrians to stop and dance before other passers-by join the impromptu dance party.

The local buskers played Twist and Shout - a song originally recorded by the Top Notes but better known for being covered by the Beatles.
