WasteServ is to introduce an e-quotations system that aims to strengthen procurement transparency within the company. The system will come into force on April 1.
It said the system will make quotation requests accessible to a larger pool of suppliers.
According to Public Procurement Regulations, any works, goods and services with a minimum value of €2,500 excluding VAT are generally required to be procured through a public call for tenders or quotations; works, goods and services with a lesser value may be procured by selecting the cheapest compliant offer from a minimum of three quotes obtained directly from selected economic operators in the open market. Under the new system, the latter category will now also be subject to an open call since interested parties will be able to view quotation requests of any value directly from the company’s website.
The new system incorporates an online registration process through which registered suppliers will automatically receive a notification each time a quotation request relevant to their line of business is made.
The system will also cater for the online submission of quotations through the company website, which will be linked directly to the internal financial and procurement system.
