I fully support Mark Trzeciak’s letter titled Citations For Non-Existent Infringements (August 10). It is so irritating and frustrating to be handed a ticket when you do your best to observe all rules and regulations. Some wardens behave like children. They are supposed to know the rules but they either ignore them or do not even know what they are there for.

But if I were Mr Trzeciak I would take the necessary action and bring the matter to the attention of the relevant authorities. If not for the money, at least to be proven right and show that one is an upright man who abides by the law. Hopefully, those responsible – even if these are not so easy to come by, unfortunately – will prove me right and make sure that wardens will do their work as they should and not as they please. I am going through this experience myself at the moment.

I reiterate that this is most frustrating but not frustrating enough to stop me doing things I enjoy, like travelling to different places I love, simply because there are a couple of wardens who are not doing their duty properly. This is no solution. The solution is to take the right steps in the right direction and to avoid, as much as possible, being anywhere where these incompetent people can be.
