If you live on a farm with stables and different species of animals, the chances are your children will not get asthma, according to a lung disease expert from Germany.

“We have learnt that if you live in a certain environment when in the womb and in the first 10 years of life, then you will be spared asthma,” Susanne Krauss Etschmann head of research at the Comprehensive Pneumology Centre in Munich, told Times of Malta.

“Living on a farm with animals is the best environment possible for babies in the womb and children,” she said.
