The Nationalist Party today called on the Prime Minister to stop bluffing and start to walk the talk on good governance.
Shadow minister Jason Azzopardi said that while the Prime Minister told the heads of government of Commonwealth countries that leaders must be ready to subject themselves to increased scrutiny, he led a government shrouded in mystery.
He gave a list of contracts which the government has not published, including those related to Henley and Partners, the new power station, the bus service, the "so-called" American University and the privatisation of hospitals.
Dr Azzopardi said the Prime Minister was also refusing to give details on the direct orders given in relation to the EU migration summit and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
"Is the Prime Minister trying to hide something related to hundreds of thousands given to his friends in direct orders," Dr Azzopardi asked.
PN spokesman Censu Galea said the lack of transparency was across the board with Dr Muscat's friends appointed in all possible roles including as ambassadors, consuls and CEOs. They were also given consultancies.
