As part of the company’s annual corporate social responsibility activities, the Facilities & Maintenance Department at Lufthansa Technik Malta dedicated a day of voluntary work at the Prison Inmates Programme residence in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq. A considerable amount of maintenance work, including plumbing and electrical installations, were carried out by a group of 26 employees assisted by all the residents in the house. This resulted in an uplift of the residence and more comfort for the day-to-day residents who are already going through a tough period of rehabilitation. The hot weather did not deter anyone from working hard and all concerned agreed that it was a very fulfilling and successful day and all are looking forward to having similar opportunities in the future.
