Vodafone Malta announced that it will be a main corporate sponsor of the University Engineering Students' Association (UESA), the organisation which officially represents the students of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Malta.

The sponsorship was presented by Daphne Testa, Vodafone's marketing communications executive, to UESA treasurer Christian Azzopardi.

"A large number of former students of the Faculty of Engineering now work with Vodafone and there is no doubt that more engineering students will also find employment with Vodafone as the company continues to grow and develop. Inevitably, this means that Vodafone has a very close relationship with engineering students and is committed to helping them make the most of their university days," Ms Testa said.

UESA's main objectives are a more informative and exciting life for engineering students. The association organises discussions and visits to local companies to provide a link between the faculty and the industry, as well as information to students so that they know what to expect once they graduate.

Through UESA engineering students can also benefit from discounts from bookshops, Internet Service Providers and electronic suppliers. UESA also organises sport and social activities for all its members.
