Vodafone Malta has encouraged young people to join its University students programme to gain work experience and improve their skills.
Students will receive induction training, on-the-job learning, regular feedback to help their career development, real-life work to build business skills, communications and equipment benefits and support during their preparation stage for their dissertation.
To be eligible for participation, students must be in their penultimate year of study.
Vodafone’s head of human resources Martin Gregory said the programme fell within the brand’s contribution towards the local community. The company believed in a workplace where reward was based on outstanding performance, while it continually sought to develop progressive, flexible work practices and to provide continuous oppor-tunities for our employees’ career development.
“Apart from having the corporate brand on their CVs, being part of an international, equality-certified company gives students an ideal opportunity to being offered full-time employment after their final year of study,” Mr Gregory said.
“The programme gives young people the chance to understand Vodafone’s culture and to be introduced to working life.”
A CV, including a covering letter, must be submitted to hr.mt@vodafone.com by February 28.
