The village cross at St Francis Square, Victoria, is back in place after it was dismantled for restoration. The cross has a strong link with the 17th century conventual building of the Franciscan Order also to be found at the square.

It is known that the land annexed to the convent extended to the location where the cross stands. The location and orientation of the cross were accurately recorded prior to the dismantling process.
