The Computing Services Centre is organising videoconferencing courses next month to make use of the videoconferencing facilities available at the University. The course is open to all members of staff who are new to videoconferencing technology as well as to those who already have some experience of it but who wish to further develop their presentation skills during lecturing sessions.
The course covers the technical and pedagogical aspects of videoconferencing. Participants are able to operate the videoconferencing equipment, apply the principles of the what and how of videoconferencing for more effective communication, acquire the information necessary to getting started with videoconferencing sessions, organise and plan a session applying the necessary strategies for the preparation and delivery of a more successful videoconference, develop instructional strategies for interactive videoconference sessions, and utilise adequate resources for the design and delivery of teaching and learning activities within the sessions.
The course consists of two sessions of two hours each. The tutor is Vanessa Camilleri.
