Former Church Environment Commission chairman Victor Axiak will be heading the new Environment and Resources Authority board, the government said today.

The board is tasked with facilitating the operations and functions of the same authority.

Carmen Buttigieg is vice-chairperson, Alan Deidun is the representative for NGOs and Alan Pulis is the public official. The five independent members are Alfred Vella, Jason Bonnici, Ruben Abela, Louise Spiteri and Alexia Pisani. Maria Attard is the Opposition's representative.
