Vassallo Group has once again marked Arkati Foundation Day with a visit by the foundation’s chairman, Joe Saliba, and members to all places of work across the group. Group chairman Nazzareno Vassallo, who founded The Arkati Foundation 27 years ago, joined Arkati representatives on the day to the site visits.

The foundation is an employee solidarity fund aimed to help those going through hard times. The employees themselves donate a day of leave or a small fee, while the company contributes a substantial sum each year.

The group set off to visit 18 locations, from Care Malta and Hila homes to construction sites such as the Vassallo Business Park and MIA, as well as premises run by Cater Essence.

During these visits emphasis was put on Vassallo Groups’s Employee Assistance Programme, which is an employee benefit-programme intended to help employees deal with personal problems that might impact their job performance, health and well-being.

The services are being offered through the Richmond Foundation, an NGO which runs a staff and organisation support programme. This service is strictly confidential and the employee contacts the foundation directly without the need of going through the company to benefit from the service.

Vassallo Group employs over 1,800 people representing over 50 nationalities. For more information or to join a company within the group, visit http://lifeatvassallogroup.com .
