Actress Vanessa Redgrave has told US viewers she is grieving over the deaths of her sister and daughter, but also "glorying" in their memory.

In her first public comments since the death from cancer of her sister Lynn on May 2 came during a recording of ABC's TV show The View, to be shown today.

Redgrave's eldest daughter, Natasha Richardson, died in March 2009 from head injuries suffered during a skiing accident.

And the acclaimed acting family also suffered the recent loss of Vanessa's older brother, Corin.

During the TV interview, Redgrave also discusses her husband, Franco Nero, who co-stars in her new film, Letters To Juliet.
