A pick-up van crashed into a parked SUV and into two houses in Thomas Chetcuti Street, Attard, last night.

The driver, apparently lost control of the van on the wet road at about 11.30 p.m.

No one was injured but the front part of the van was extensively damaged and structural damage was also caused to the front part of one of the houses.

In another incident, at Birkirkara Bypass, Birkirkara, a man was lucky to escape injury in a crash which involved three cars.

The accident took place at about 10 p.m. near the slip road to Mater Dei Hospital. A white Opel Corsa and a red Hyundai were extensively damaged. That part of the road had to be closed until debris was cleared.
