I am sure many who either follow Adrian Delia’s hysterical speeches or read reports about them have noted that as the European elections on May 25 loom closer, the leader of just a faction of the Nationalist Party keeps increasing the dose of his nonsensical arguments.

I will limit myself to quotes from his speech on April 14 referring to “faith, values and morals”. The PN “will not allow this government to steamroll over our faith, values and our morals”, he said. To Delia, this government “has created a soulless-state which is destroying our traditions and our faith and is trying to make us forget that we are Christians”.

He said this just a few days before the vast majority of Maltese and Gozitans proved him wrong when they massively participated in the Holy Week activities.

The above quotes are from the same man against whom very serious allegations of money laundering, originating from a prostitution racket and corruption, had been made by Daphne Caruana Galizia. To this very day, Delia has still not asked an inquiring magistrate to investigate such allegations to clear his name.

Did he say “Christian values and morals” ?
