St George’s Square in Valletta will be transformed into the Rosetta Satellite Space Mission on September 25, when this year's edition of Science in the City will be held all over Valletta.

Speaking at the festival’s launch this morning, project coordinator Alex Felice said this year’s festival will see the city come to life in an attempt to raise awareness on the importance of science and research.

“The main feature will this year be the Rosetta exhibition at St George’s Square as well as the exhibition of research projects by the University of Malta, to be held at the new parliament building,” he said.

Activities include free dental check-ups, buskers in Republic Street and a children’s area at St James Cavalier.

Last year, over 20,000 people attended the festival.
