Heritage Malta will be organising a heritage trail of Valletta on Friday the 23rd of March. This event will include guided visits to a number of historical sites and museums found within Malta's capital city. Throughout the year Heritage Malta organises several similar events in order to increasing public access, awareness, and interest in Malta's rich cultural history.

The heritage trail will commence with a guided tour of Ta' Liesse church where all participants shall group. Members of the walking tour will then be led through the streets of Valletta, including a visit to the Lower Barrakka, by ITS lecturer Vincent Zammit. The walking tour will also include a guided visit of the Domus Paulis Museum by the museum's curator Robert Cassar.

The group will then proceed to the National Museum of Fine Arts where participants will have some free time for a coffee break. Afterwards, the museum's Senior Curator Sandro Debono will give a guided tour of the museum. The tour will focus on paintings related to Valletta that are currently available within the museum's permanent collection. Participants of this heritage trail will also have the opportunity to view prints and drawings from the reserve collection connected to the historical city of Valletta.

'Valletta then and now' Heritage Trail will be held on Friday 23rd March from 18.00hrs till 22.00hrs.
