Nemanja Tomić scored twice and Aleksandar Mitrović added a third as FK Partizan defeated Valletta 3-1 last night to move to move to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League with a 7-2 aggregate.

Lazar Marković hit a goalpost early in the match, and then Tomić headed in Nikola Aksentijević's cross to put Partizan ahead after 10 minutes.

The hosts came close again when Babović struck the upright and Tomić missed when one-on-one with Valletta goalkeeper André Krul.

But Michael Mifsud evened the score for a brief period before Tomić scored his second.

The third goal, by Mitrović came 17 minutes from time.
