Valletta kept up the pace with leaders Hibernians today by beating Msida St Joseph 2-0.

Priso scored on the half hour. Stefan Giglio was sent off just before the break, for retailiation, but the citizens remained in control of the match throughout and Monesterolo scored the second in the 80th minute.

Msida then had Stacy Vella sent off near the end of the match.

The result means Valletta are now a point down on Hibs, with a game in hand.

In the second match today, Birkirkara came from behind twice to beat Hamrun 3-2.

Comvalius opened the scoring for Hamrun with his first kick of the match but Michael Galea equalised for Birkirkara just before half-time.

Comvalius scored his second and put Hamrun back in the lead in the 60th minute but Hartvig put Birkirkara back on level terms within six monutes before Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza handed the three points to Birkirkara with a 75th minute goal.
