The US Embassy has donated €181,691.12 towards the purchase of climbing, fitness, and recreational equipment for the new Ta’ Qali Adventure Park for children.

The money was presented to Rural Affairs Minister George Pullicino by ambassador Molly Bordonaro.

She said that the decision to donate the funds resulted from the American and Maltese governments shared goal to preserve and protect the Ta’ Qali National Park, one of Malta’s natural treasures and an important part of its national heritage.

Mr Pullicino said that this new extension would be a unique attraction to the Maltese islands and would feature fitness and play equipment for both kids and adults.

This would be the fourth extension to the national park in as many years, and the government was committed to continue increasing the space for recreation.
