Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil was yesterday invited to attend a Security Committee meeting on September 10 to discuss the hundreds of illegitimate visas issued to Libyans.

This will be over three weeks after former Labour treasurer Joe Sammut was arraigned in court over the case, “revealing a scandal of mammoth proportions”, the PN said. The meeting follows a call by Dr Busuttil, but yesterday he said that national security, by definition a matter of urgency, should not be left to wait that long.
