Two men and a boy were injured in separate accidents this morning.

An elderly man and a boy were injured when they were hit by Land Cruiser in Dawret il-Gzejjer, Bugibba at 11.45am.

An eyewitness said the boy was looked after by people who happened to be on site until the paramedics arrived.

The elderly man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. His condition is not yet known

The Land Cruiser was being driven by a 36-year-old Syrian man who lives in St Paul’s Bay.

The windscreen was partially shattered on impact.

In another accident earlier today, a 76-year-old man from Santa Venera was grievously injured when he was hit by a Jeep Cherokee being driven by a 37-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay, at 9.20 am.

The accident happened in Triq il-Kbira San Guzepp, Hamrun.
