Interested persons, including current University students awaiting their final results, who wish to apply for courses commencing in October 2009, can do so through the Online Application facility, the University said today.

The application form may be filled in by accessing: www.um.edu.mt/apply

Candidates who are sitting for the Matriculation Certificate Examination in May/June 2009 should apply after their results have been published.

Online applications may be submitted at any time but not later than Friday, 24th July 2009.

Applicants who intend to apply for a scholarship under the STEPS Scheme, which is administered by the Directorate for Educational Services (www.education.gov.mt/steps), should submit their UOM application by Tuesday, 30th June 2009 so that letters of acceptance can be issued by 15th September 2009.

Applications are to be submitted against a fee of €23.29 payable prior to submission of the online application at HSBC in account number: 085031458051 or at Bank of Valletta in account number: 40013540847 at any of their branches in Malta and Gozo or through internet banking payable to University of Malta, quoting the transaction reference number. Application fees are non-refundable, the university said.
