Two undertakers were fined and another was conditionally discharged after a fight with other undertakers in the mortuary car park in August 2006.

Undertakers Emmanuel Mifsud, 53, his brother Carmelo, 48, and his son Malcolm, 29, were charged with seriously injuring Louis Borg and slightly injuring his two brothers Karl and Miguel.

The Mifsuds were also charged with threatening the Borgs following an argument between the two groups of undertakers.

Emmanuel Mifsud was fined €800, Carmelo Mifsud was fined €400 and Malcolm Mifsud was given a conditional discharge after the court heard that Louis Borg had forgiven the Borgs and his brothers withdrew the charges.

Police Inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted. Lawyers José Herrera and Roberto Montalto appeared for the Mifsuds.
