UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will visit Malta on April 21 and 22, the first visit by a Secretary General in 21 years.

He will have talks with President George Abela, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi and Foreign Minister Tonio Borg and is expected to address Parliament.

The last UN Secretary General to visit Malta was Javier Perez de Cuellar, who opened the UN Institute on Aging in Valletta.
