Air Malta has been slammed by the UK’s Advertising Standards Agency for an advert promoting £99 return flights to Malta, the Travel Trade Gazette reported.

The advert, which promotes flights on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham, was banned after the ASA found there was no “reasonable prospect of obtaining seats at the advertised price” at any of the airports mentioned.

It noted that flights from Birmingham to Malta did not operate on Fridays and Mondays.
