The Union Haddiema Maghqudin (UHM) this afternoon urged the government to reduce the utility tariffs in line with its commitment for immediate revisions when the international oil price fluctuated by more than 15% from the last revision.

In its second appeal in a few days for a revision of the utility tariffs,the UHM said the government should immediately revise the tariffs so that the confusion and uncertainty created in the past few days owing to conflicting statements could be eliminated.

"The UHM appeals to the government to close this chapter, so that the social partners can concentrate their efforts on the impact of the international economic situation, the UHM said.
