The Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin registered an industrial dispute with the Malta International Airport because it said the company is outsourcing several sections.

These include the customer service attendants, information technology, information management, electronics and networks, the union said in a statement.

In the past days the union held meetings with the workers and filed a judiciary protest against the MIA in a bid to kick start a consultation process.

To date, MIA has still not accepted to consult with the union over this “precarious issue” and it continued the outsourcing process behind the unions’ back, UĦM said.
