Employees of the care agencies Appogg and Sedqa have been ordered by the UHM not to make house calls in view of an industrial dispute over the payment of salaries and arrears.

The UHM said it had also ordered the staff of the Foundation for Social Services (which includes Appogg , Sedqa and adult training centres) not to use the phone or answer e-mails.

The union said its efforts to avoid this state of affairs had been futile and the workers were not being paid what was due to them in terms of the collective agreement.
