Senior court recorders will not make use of any means of communication from Monday if their employers do not address their work conditions by today. The Union Ħaddiema Magħ-qudin said it had been complaining to the court administration for months and had no other option but to order industrial action, even though it believed the issue could have been solved by discussion. Moreover, it said the quality of service given in court was deteriorating and tension among employees was rising unnecessarily.

In January, the union had suspended industrial action to give the authorities a month's time to remedy matters. Then, senior court recorders had also been asked not to make use of any means of communication.
