The Union Haddiema Maghqudin warned today that unless it was given an appointment to meet Justice Minister Owen Bonnici to discuss the working conditions of deputy court registrars by the end of this month, it would order industrial action.

It told the minister in a letter that it had made a number of proposals for a sectoral agreement and it could not understand the delay for such an agreement to be reached.

It said that although a meeting was promised several times, it never took place because the appointment kept being cancelled by the ministry.

JUSTICE MINISTRY REPLIES

In a reaction, the Justice Ministry said a planned meeting was postponed because of another commitment the minister had to attend to, but the union has been given another date for a meeting.
