The Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin has called on the government to engage in full and effective consultation over the reform at the Malta Environment and Planning Authority (Mepa), claiming that in the past consultation was negligible.

The code of ethics that Mepa employees were presented with was not discussed with the union, it said, adding that although the Prime Minister's ideas for reform were presented to the UĦM, there was no prior consultation.
