Maltese nationals will no longer require a pre-entry visa to the United Arab Emirates as from March 22.
Visas could be acquired upon entry into the country and will be free of charge.
This follows a decision taken by the UAE cabinet.
Maltese citizens travelling to Dubai need to check that their respective passport has a minimum validity of three months at the time of travelling to Dubai and that the duration of their stay is of not more than 30 days.
Emirates Airlines Malta country manager Paul Fleri Soler welcomed the relaxation of the visa requirements saying this would facilitate ease of travel and add a much greater level of convenience for passengers.
