Two young men were injured, one of them critically, in a traffic accident this morning.

The police said a 19-year-old man from Żabbar was driving in Triq San Anard, Tarxien towards the direction of his hometown.

The car was involved in a collision with another car that was being driven in the opposite direction by a 26-year-old man, also from Żabbar.

The 19-year-old is in a critical condition. The 26-year-old suffered slight injuries.

The accident happened at 5.10am.
