An undisclosed amount of stock was stolen from the stores of Centre Point Stationery in Zebbug - for the second day in a row.

While the stationery is situated in Vjal il-Helsien, its stores are in an underground garage complex in Infetti Street.

An eyewitness who lives in a block of apartment next door to the garages said that at 11.50am today she saw two men in a grey Peugeot with UK number plates drive into the garage block.

The driver, she said, look right at her and drove straight in.

As the car was leaving the garage block, the stationery’s owner was returning to the garage to continue stock taking and the car passenger asked her if she knew where Telemike (an electronics’ shop) was.

The owner said no and continued to walk in, finding the store door open. She went to a nearby hairdresser to phone the police.

“I can’t believe they did it again,twice in as many days,” the owner said.

The stores had just been stocked for the school season.
