Valletta's streets have been decorated in preparation for today's rare occasion when the statues of St Paul and St Publius will be paraded side by side during a pilgrimage to mark the end of the Pauline Year. This would be the second time that the two statues, from two parishes in Valletta and Floriana, will be seen together. In 1960 the two saints joined forces to mark the anniversary of the arrival of St Paul in Malta in AD 60.
