Two San Gwann residents were this morning granted bail against a personal guarantee of €5,000 after they pleaded not guilty to theft from a petrol station in Victoria.

Carmel Hartley, 39 and Matthew Portelli, 24, were charged with stealing – on four separate occasions, not more than €9,317 in cash and goods, and causing damage amounting to not more than €4,659, also on four occasions.

The two were also charged with relapsing.

Their case continues on November 18.
