A Serbian woman and two women from Rabat were victims of mugging in separate incidents early this morning, the police said.
In the first case, the police said the Serbian woman, aged 44, reported that as she walked in St Julians at 2.45 a.m. a man came up behind her, pointed a pistol and stole her bag, which contained cash and personal documents. He escaped in a waiting car.
At about 3 a.m., the police were also informed that at Swieqi, two women from Rabat aged 19 and 20 had also reported that a man had pointed a pistol at them and stolen a bag before also escaping in a waiting car.
No one was injured.
