A young man and teenager yesterday admitted to stealing a large quantity of antique furniture and other items from four houses between May last year and this month.
Raymond Zammit, 24, of Birkirkara and the 17-year-old, who cannot be named because he is a minor, allegedly stole the items from houses in Birkirkara, Msida, Pieta’ and Mosta.
The two men were caught and arrested on Sunday, following investigations into the thefts, Police Inspector Keith Arnaud said. Defence lawyer Leon Bencini told the court in submissions on punishment that the stolen goods had been returned and Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit deferred sentencing to Friday.
